MacForbes Gourmet Wine Lunch with Mac Forbes

Wednesday 23rd June 2010 (by invitation only) £75.00 p/p

Mac Forbes is getting a bit of a following as one of Australia’s great new winemakers. His wines are awesome, especially his Pinot’s.

Mac made his name as winemaker with the late John Middleton at Mount Mary in the Yarra Valley. He left in 2002 and spent three years as winemaker/ambassador for Southcorp in Europe, as well as doing stints in Portugal and Austria before returning to the Yarra to make his own wines. His wines are exceptionally cool, elegant and Europe-inspired, and is exploring the complexity of Yarra Valley terroir with a range of single vineyard Pinots.
