The Harrow at Little Bedwyn in Marlborough, Wiltshire named AA Restaurant of the Year England

The Harrow at Little Bedwyn was last night named the worthy winner of the title of Restaurant of the Year England at the AA Hospitality Awards 2010, hosted by Penny Smith at the London Hilton on Park Lane.

Sue and Roger Jones, owners of The Harrow at Little Bedwyn, who received the award in front of an audience of over 700 members of the hospitality industry, commented, “We are delighted to accept the prestigious award from the AA on behalf of our professional young team. We have all worked extremely hard to get to this level and we are very proud and delighted that the effort and enthusiasm displayed by the staff, as well as our suppliers, has been nationally and publicly recognised.”

Situated in the quiet village of Little Bedwyn on the Kennet & Avon canal, this country restaurant is run by passionate owners who have evolved the restaurant into a high profile destination restaurant which year on year has grown in stature. Food is excellent, the wine list memorable and the value for money ethos makes is accessible to all.”

Attended by world-renowned chefs, prominent hoteliers, hospitality gurus and key industry media, the AA Hospitality Awards recognise and reward the excellent services provided by the UK very best establishments and high achieving individuals, and launch the 2011 AA guides to UK hotels and restaurants.

This year, guests were treated to a sensational three course gourmet meal created by five AA Rosette-awarded chef Marcus Wareing in conjunction with the Hilton Park Lane kitchen team, as well as a special performance by multi-million record selling and twice-Brit Award winner Heather Small, formerly of M People.
